Green Pool on Xindian Creek (Bitan)

Floating boats on the lake, the smooth surface of the water reflect the aquamarine of the mountains beyond some blocks of flats under the blue sky. A huge red suspension bridge that spans the river adorn the landscape. 

A long narrow park on the eastern shore is one of my private sights where I usually go for a stroll on the weekend. Rambling through the park, looking at an opposite side of the river, there is a huge steep cliff carved a beautiful Chinese hand-writing "Bitan 碧潭" on the west shore. It is the name of this lovely place: Bitan Scenic Area.

The name of Bitan means emerald lake, emerald-turquoise color of the water naturally, and is a stretch of the Xindian River that has been dammed and turned into a recreational are. 

Ghost Month: to be mercy on all sentient beings

The seventh month of the lunar calendar is called Ghost Month in Taiwan. On the first day of this month, the gate of the Hell are opened and all the Ghosts will be released in the living world for one month.

No.4 Egg pancake in the morning

It was very nice to have a plate of Egg pancake in the Sunday morning. I can smelt the flavor of fresh soybean oil from 2 streets far away while going to The breakfast.

Shihlin Official Residence - blooming sesaon

The Shihlin Official Residence is located on Chungshan North Road in Taipei City's Shihlin District. It was the former home of the late President Chiang Kai-shek.

This elegant garden with romantic European style is pretty huge. You need to take time to stroll.

According to the news from the SOR, they planted large number roses because Madame Chiang Kai-shek loved it. But, the garden has many other types of flowers.

The One - to restore ancient ways

The one (South park) was built on Sinpu township in Hsinchu county since September 16, 1985.

In the beginning, the Park was belong to the Group of UDN(Unite Daily News) . Now it is managed by external company.

I went to the South park twice. The style it presented made me go back to the ancient. The brick houses combined some wooden structures with traditional way. There are some ducks, swans, and peacocks wandering through the Lake which is the middle of the whole park. When the wind blow, it waves the trees as if the young lady dance in the air. It is so romantic, and it is very nice to be visited throughout the year. However, from the experiences, I suggests that the best season is autumn.
